Warning Description: Wind Advisory
Warning Date: 2:56 am PST on March 12, 2010
WarningSum:...Wind Advisory In Effect From 9 Am This Morning To 2 Pm Pst
This Afternoon...
Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Wind
Advisory...which is in effect from 9 am this morning to 2 PM PST
this afternoon.
* Winds: southeast to south winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40
mph over the northern Sacramento Valley and to 45 mph over
exposed areas in the foothills.
* Timing: a storm system moving through the region today will
produce strong gusty winds later this morning and early this
afternoon.
* Locations include: Redding...Paradise...Lakeport
* impacts: strong winds may impact vehicles...especially high
profile vehicles and those towing trailers. Loose outdoor items
should be secured.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 25 mph are
expected and or gusts to 40 mph. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
